Working Together to Support Women’s Health

As The Alternative Midwife, my work is not only with individual women, I also collaborate with charities, NHS Trusts, workplaces, and community organisations to provide structured, trauma-informed support programmes.

Too often, women navigate reproductive health changes alone, dismissed, or without adequate aftercare. Through my programmes, we create spaces for women to heal, adapt, and thrive and for organisations to extend meaningful support to the communities they serve.

The Programmes

Embracing Changes (Groups)

A 3-session group programme for women navigating major health transitions — from menstruation to menopause, surgery to postpartum recovery.

  • Builds health literacy

  • Offers practical tools for resilience

  • Reduces isolation through community support

Ideal for charities, community groups, workplaces, and NHS clinics for group transitions and peer support.

Rewind & Restore (1:1)

A trauma-informed recovery programme supporting women 1:1 after difficult reproductive experiences, including birth trauma, miscarriage, stillbirth, or gynaecological surgery.

  • Reduces trauma symptoms (anxiety, flashbacks, poor sleep)

  • Restores a sense of calm and safety

  • Supports women to re-engage with healthcare and daily life

Ideal for maternity units, bereavement charities, and mental health organisations to offer as an additional support service.

Bespoke Workshops & Talks

  • Workplace wellbeing programmes

  • Community women’s health projects

  • Training for staff and volunteers in trauma-informed support
